Igy’s Mental Health Awareness Project

Who We Are

“Igy” means “I got you” — a simple phrase with a powerful message.

Created by Kurt Baldyga, owner and artist at Chicago Custom Tattoo – Greenville, Igy is a hand-drawn flower symbol that represents all aspects of mental health — not just one. It’s a reminder that no matter what someone is facing, they’re not alone.

The Story Behind Igy

Kurt started The Igy Project to connect people who struggle with their own mental health or support someone who does.

His goal was to create a symbol that brings people together — one that represents strength, healing, and resilience.

“Igy” isn’t tied to a single diagnosis or label. It’s all-inclusive, standing for everyone who’s ever needed a reminder that someone’s got their back.

A Symbol of Care and Connection

Over the past two years, 258 Igy tattoos have been inked — each one carrying a story, a struggle, and a message of hope.

Every Igy tattoo is created with compassion, in a clean, relaxed, and judgment-free space where conversation and connection matter just as much as the art itself.

Kurt believes in creating a space where people can talk, listen, and heal through art.

No judgment. No attitude. Just kindness, care, and creativity.
